Bloomberg slip up and post obituary of Apple's C.E.O.
ALERT – WE’VE MOVED TO RAZORIANFLY.COM
Last week, Bloomberg was apparently updating Steve Jobs’ obituary (you know the one, it says to the world you’ve officially died …), and in the process – published it. At this point investors were, understandably, said to be rattled and shook up about the news – as any true investor would be.
The obituary was available online, for about 5 hours. Bloomberg has since pulled the obituary apologising profusely for it’s original publication:
“Story Referencing Apple Was Sent in Error by Bloomberg News
Aug. 27 (Bloomberg) – An incomplete story referencing Apple
Inc. was inadvertently published by Bloomberg News at 4:27 p.m.
New York time today. The item was never meant for publication and
has been retracted.”-Editor: Joe Winski, Cesca Antonelli
What the action does prove however, is that Bloomberg actually has the obituary on record as a priority publication in the case of an extended story.
Please Note: Steve Jobs is not dead (Thankfully).
